Escape Room Family 2

Communicate and Listen

Effective communication is key! Encourage everyone in the family to share their ideas, observations, and theories. Make sure to listen to each other and consider everyone’s perspectives. Collaboration and teamwork are crucial in solving escape room puzzles. And always listen to your little ones! From our experience, they tend to grasp certain puzzles better than adults.

Divide and Conquer

Assign different tasks to family members based on their strengths and interests. Some might be good at deciphering codes, while others may excel at finding hidden objects or solving riddles. So as soon as you figure out what needs to be done for a puzzle, assign it to someone who you think could do it best. Divide the workload to cover more ground and increase your chances of success. But don’t forget to help each other out if needed, sometimes 2 heads are better than 1!

Pay Attention to Details

Escape rooms are filled with hidden clues and objects. Encourage everyone to pay attention to even the smallest details, as they could be essential for solving puzzles or unlocking new areas. Thoroughly search the room and examine objects from different angles.

Share Information

Keep everyone in the loop about the discoveries you make. Communicate what you find, whether it’s a code, a key, or a clue. Sharing information allows the family to work together to connect different pieces of the puzzle and make progress. There’s nothing worse than struggling to figure out a puzzle, only to find out that your team member had found something that could help you out!

Think Outside the Box

Escape rooms are built to be unexpected. Use your creative thinking and explore. Encourage family members to think beyond the obvious and consider alternative interpretations or uses for objects and clues. Sometimes, the solution just needs a different perspective. On the other hand, don’t overthink it, sometimes the solution can be quite simple!

Use Time Wisely

Keep an eye on the clock and manage your time effectively. While it’s important to be thorough, don’t get too caught up on a single puzzle or challenge. If you’re stuck, don’t hesitate to ask for hints from the game master. If you feel like one of your team mates is struggling for time, give them a hand and solve the puzzle together!

Listen to the Briefing!

Before you start your escape room, your Games Master will give a briefing covering all necessary health and safety precautions, as well as introducing you to the game. Make sure everyone in your team listens to the briefing so nobody and nothing gets hurt, and to know how to use padlocks or anything specific to the room you’re entering. Also don’t be afraid to ask, there are no silly questions!

Stay Positive and Have Fun

Remember that the main goal is to have a fun and enjoy your experience as a family. Even if you don’t escape within the time limit, focus on the teamwork and the memories you’re creating together. Keep a positive attitude, laugh, and enjoy the adventure!
