In aid of Beatson Cancer Charity

On Thursday 18 May 2023 eeek! Events had the wonderful opportunity to host the Now That’s What I Call Networking (NTWICN). This is an event held twice a year, organised by a group of lovely women who are trying to make networking more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The 3 ladies behind these events are Courtney Flynn, Head of Sales of Base Hospitality, Hannah Cochrane, Business Development Manager of Dakota Hotels and Charlene Low, Regional Fundraising Manager for Beatson Cancer Charity.
Beatson NEW
This NTWICN was held in Nonna Said in Glasgow and hosted almost 90 people. These events are always in aid of Beatson Cancer Charity and help raise a lot of money for their efforts. We arrived at Nonna Said where we met the events team, volunteers and staff and we started setting up. We were expecting a full house so we laid out our kits in a way so we could squeeze everyone in. On arrival, guests got to enjoy a welcome drink and got a few minutes of mingling and networking before our game started. After an introduction from the NTWICN organisers, our game began!
Bottle NEW

eeek! Events provided ‘The Last Bottle’ Mobile Escape Game which worked as a wonderful ice breaker, since people were split up into teams randomly. After all, this was mainly a networking event! We explained the objective, set the atmosphere with a bit of a story, and 3, 2, 1, everyone starts puzzling! We were delighted to see everyone looking quite enthusiastic and involved in the game.

It might have been the incentive of pizza and cocktails speeding everyone’s thinking processes up, but all of a sudden we had our winner! Pizza went out, cocktails were going around and everyone was relaxed and excited to go mingle. Everyone attending got a chance to purchase raffle tickets and win exciting prizes, including a voucher for our owners’ new venture – Splatter Art Studio! We had a fantastic night and met some lovely people. Thank you to ‘The Thursdays’ for the opportunity to host! We’ll see you at the next NTWICN!
